VHNA Meeting Minutes May 5, 2021 via Zoom

  1. Call to Order: 6:02 pm

    1. Attendance: Patty, Chris, Carrie, Magali, Tim, Melissa, Nora, Marlin, Angela

  2. Approval of Agenda: Approved

  3. Approval of April Minutes: Approved

  4. President’s Report: Approved

  5. Treasurer’s Report: Approved

  6. ADP SE Area Command Officer Report: Provided by Jose

    1. Increase of “disturbing the peace” incidents.

  7. Committee Reports:

    1. Zoning: Gateway apartments will have 318 units.

    2. Traffic: Still lots of speeding and running stop signs.

  8. Open Discussion:

    1. Crematorium thread is ongoing on Next Door. Patty did an interview.

    2. Revision of NARO has been put on hold.

    3. Neighborhood cleanup- Mike mentioned that we can schedule our own cleanup with Emily.

    4. 508 Columbia Community Garden is trying to raise money to buy the lot and install water.

  9. Action Items:

    1. Create social media presence and communications plan.

      1. Collect and maintain an email list.

      2. Magali and Patty will put together a website.

      3. Chris will send the current email list.

    1. Call 424-COPS if you hear shots fired so the police can make a report and collect bullet casings.

  3. Guest Speaker: Mikaela Rentz-Whitmoore from CABQ Planning spoke about engagement in the neighborhood assessment process.
